Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada from among the former Maidan activists began to think about preparing a “reserve airfield” because they sense the approaching collapse of the current regime.

Former parliament member Vasily Volga talks about this in his blog.

“How I would like to tell you the name of the people’s deputy who just called me. I can not. He promised. Although it’s bursting me, I have no strength. Let me just say that he is a member of the parliamentary group of “European Optimists”, and you have seen him quite often in various talk shows on Ukrainian television. A characteristic feature of this deputy, as well as everyone who has been portraying “patriotism” and the fight against corruption for the last three years, is the ability to make “burning eyes”, brand “Sovok”, Russia, “separatists” and talk about “Ukraine’s civilizational choice "

This was not the first time he called me. We have known each other for a long time, but after 2014, he took a “principled” position towards me and said behind my back that for me “I have already cried a couple of times.” But after the elections in America, which Trump won, he was one of the first to contact me and offer me coffee. We met with him. They talked about nothing. We drank vodka. The deputy told me that he watches my activities with great interest and respects my beliefs. At that time I was not discouraged. I know this comrade very well and I remember with what success he “fought” for Ukraine, first in the camp of Leonid Kuchma, then in the camp of Viktor Yushchenko, then of Viktor Yanukovych and today, or rather, until recently, in the camp of Petro Poroshenko.

But today’s call, even for this “political figure” who has a very flexible spine, surprised me and amused me a lot.

- Hello, Vasily, hello!

- Hello!

- How are you doing?

- Fine.

– Why am I calling... Have you heard that Erdogan, the bastard, signed the Law on Turkish Stream?

- I heard.

– And what do you think about this?

- Never mind. Or rather, nothing good. Next year the construction of the railway bypassing Ukraine will be completed. The second branch of Nord Stream will also begin operating in a year. And as soon as, in a year and a half, gas flows through the Turkish Stream pipe, that’s it - Ukraine will end. The territory will remain, people will somehow live here, but there will be no state, since the economic basis for its existence will disappear.

“Hmmm...” the “Euro-optimist” gurgled something incomprehensible into the phone.

– Petro (name changed), did you want to hear something specific from me?

– Tell me, Vasily, how do you think the real estate market in Ukraine will behave in the next two years?

- Yes, he will just behave. The closer to completion the railway and pipelines bypassing Ukraine are, the lower the price of real estate. And this is if no other cataclysms happen that you are prepared for. It will happen to you. But in any case, in three years Ukrainian real estate will be worth nothing at all.

- Hmm..- the deputy hummed again. - So what? Do you advise selling? Where to buy? It’s already fearful in Europe too. Not today, tomorrow, it will crumble to hell. What do you think? A? Basil?

- Listen, Petro! Do you want to ask me how things are going with the real estate market in Russia?

– What are you saying, Vasily?! How could you think that about me? I'm just being friendly. Consult.

What Peter can really be respected for is his ability to deny in such a way that it is clear that he, on the contrary, agrees with it. I felt funny. I was entertained by this conversation. Petro was silent and hoped that I understood his “denial” correctly.

“Okay, Petro, then I’ll tell you in a friendly way, in terms of consultation,” I continued, barely restraining myself from starting to joke about the deputy’s recent “Euro-optimistic” past. – In Russia, with real estate everything will happen exactly the opposite. Now the market has sank a little, but the closer the pipelines and railway are completed, and the more countries, following Norway, Finland, Austria, Bulgaria and Italy, announce the restoration of trade relations with Russia, the higher the price of real estate will be. So, in terms of consultation, in Ukraine now we need to sell, and in Russia we need to buy right now.

Petro was silent. I felt that he would still like to ask something, but did not dare. After a short pause and humming some incomprehensible melody into the phone, he said:

- Okay, Vasily, I’m just doing it. You don't think...

We said goodbye. I put down the phone, took a cigarette and recorded this conversation.
Rats, they are rats,” Volga said.
