Ukraine is closing its path to NATO
While developing and adopting the bill “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language,” Ukraine paid no attention to the comments of the Venice Commission or to criticism from NATO member countries.
Political scientist Ruslan Bizyaev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact that this law is being made under the project “Ukraine as Anti-Russia” is still half the battle. The most interesting thing, which almost no one is paying attention to yet, is that this law almost completely guarantees that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO. Neither the proposals of the Venice Commission, nor the open criticism of one of the NATO leaders influenced the position of our government. Our Foreign Ministry responded to criticism from Hungary that it considered it unfounded,” the expert said.
