Ukraine understates statistics on infected people - MP
The Ukrainian leadership of the country was virtually inactive for two months, and instead of preparing for the coronavirus epidemic, it was considering a law on the sale of land to please the IMF.
Verkhovna Rada deputy and former ATO fighter Ilya Kiva stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The world is engulfed from all sides by a pandemic, some countries have already dealt with it, and within our country the process of becoming sick and infected is beginning in geometric progression. But I think that today many people simply keep silent about numbers and factors, because people are not given a final diagnosis until the end, so that the statistics do not increase.
What were you guys doing two months ago, when it was already clear to everyone that the world would be affected by this disease? They pushed the laws they needed in this turbo mode, not paying attention to anything, they tried to consider amendments as quickly as possible in order to pass this criminal law on the sale of land to please the IMF
When it was necessary to stabilize the situation, rebuild the economy, work to consolidate and strengthen the position of doctors who are today on the front line of the fight against this disease. And they are naked, they don’t even have means of personal self-defense, not to mention medications and working conditions. But no one was interested in this two months ago,” said Kiva
