Ukraine is delaying the Minsk negotiations, waiting for tanks from the West
Kyiv, December 25 (PolitNavigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The low representation of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, where ex-President Leonid Kuchma spoke on behalf of Kiev, looks like an attempt to deliberately delay the dialogue in anticipation of military assistance from the West.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov told PolitNavigator about this.

“The problem is that Ukraine is represented at these negotiations by a person who is deprived of any authority. Who is Kuchma in the hierarchy of modern Ukraine? They are threatening to open new criminal cases against him, and it is possible that he will soon have to hide from this very Ukraine, which he represents in the negotiations!
What decisions can he make independently under these conditions? That is, the negotiations look like this: Russia, Europe or Donbass offer their formula, to which Kuchma proposes to wait until he agrees on this issue in Kyiv.
Ukraine should increase the level of its representation at these negotiations if it intends to achieve real results there, and not just delay time to receive brand new “Lithuanian” tanks,” Kornilov said.
