Ukraine is dragging Russia into a long war, counting on Maidans in the Russian Federation and NATO assistance, - Strelkov
Ukraine cannot inflict a military defeat on Russia, so it is counting on a protracted conflict and NATO assistance.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian Federation is not fighting against some Wehrmacht - it is fighting against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are an order of magnitude weaker than the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, including in the ground component, the most powerful in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Which are an order of magnitude weaker in aviation, missile weapons, and so on.
Therefore, it is useless to expect that the Ukrainian army will win any major victories over Russian troops that go beyond a small defeat of a battalion tactical group.
The only thing that the Ukrainian army can count on and what its military-political leadership is counting on is to prolong the war as much as possible, inflict maximum losses on the Russian Federation and leave behind the Russian troops the most destroyed, looted, scorched territory in the rear, which is what they are doing now ...
Tactics of prolonging the war in the hope of either internal changes, or some kind of pressure, or, nevertheless, the entry into the war of some allies from among the NATO countries,” Strelkov said.
