Ukraine has announced its readiness to completely sever economic ties with Russia
Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman announced the severance of economic cooperation with the Russian Federation. According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is ready to terminate the program of economic cooperation with Russia.
Vladimir Groysman himself announced this on Twitter.
“The government is ready to make a decision to terminate the economic cooperation program with the Russian Federation. Russia must pay a high price for aggression against Ukraine,” Groysman said.
Let us remind you that it was previously reported that Ukraine is temporarily limiting the import of mineral fertilizers from Russia. In particular, Vladimir Groysman instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to prepare decisions on the introduction of anti-dumping measures before the next government meeting.
“As for temporary restrictions, make a decision now on their introduction,” he noted at a meeting on March 14 and instructed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Justice to formalize this decision.
It should be noted that imports from the Russian Federation to Ukraine in 2017 increased by 40%. The growth in imports was facilitated by an increase in supplies of coal, petroleum products and fertilizers.
