Kiev journalist and social activist Mikhail Kirilenko reported this on his social network page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kirilenko, who monitored the situation, the guy stood on the bridge for about three hours, constantly looking down. Then he asked one of the police for a cigarette.
According to unverified information, the suicide candidate allegedly came to the capital from the Zhitomir region and a criminal case was opened against him there.
In the end, psychologists and police managed to persuade the guy not to jump from the Lovers' Bridge.
