They want to hammer into the heads of Ukrainians the idea of an impending victory over Russia
Ukraine does not have a clear strategy for defeating the Russians, and therefore this concept should regularly appear in the media.
Maria Kucherenko, head of the project at the Center for Research on Civil Society Problems, sponsored by Western structures, stated this in an interview with Kraina magazine, answering the question of what Ukraine needs to win the confrontation with Russia.
“War can be won or lost. You need to have a clear picture of victory. Now I don’t even see a strategy. The withdrawal of troops in circumvention of the agreements set us back. Plans to create an advisory council, statements about the possible supply of water to Crimea are testing society’s readiness for painful compromises,” says the expert.
According to her, for a Ukrainian who receives information from TV, such conversations blur the meaning of the war.
“Gordon’s scandalous interviews with Girkin and Poklonskaya relate to the concept of reconciliation and legalization of these individuals in the public space. This does not help create a picture of victory in people's minds. The word “victory” itself should appear in our media more often,” Kucherenko concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, the latest sociology showed thatabout half of Ukrainians believethat in the future their country will defeat Russia.
