“In the current situation, the use of so-called hybrid warfare means, which are actually not new, but are the use of strategic approaches developed back in the 20s around the Comintern, which were used in Europe until the 50s and in the so-called third world countries , that is, in Africa, Asia and Latin America,” the official noted.
The deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council moved from the developments of the Comintern to Boris Yeltsin, seeing a connection between the current events around Ukraine and the first president of the Russian Federation.
“The main goals of the Russian Federation regarding Ukraine were absolutely clearly and frankly formulated back in September 1995, when President Boris Yeltsin, a great democrat, signed a decree on the strategic course of the Russian Federation in relation to the CIS countries,” stated Alexander Litvinenko. “The priority of the strategic course of the Russian Federation was the formation of a unified political and economic entity on the territory of the former Soviet Union.”
