As it turned out, Ukrainians show the greatest amount of sympathy for President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko (62% of respondents spoke positively), US President Barack Obama (54%) and German Chancellor Angela Merkel (51%).

Also, 45% of respondents showed a positive attitude towards Bronislaw Komarovsky, 39% towards Jose Manuel Barroso, 36% towards Dalia Grybauskaite, and only 16% towards Vladimir Putin.

The negative attitude rating is headed by Vladimir Putin, who is disliked by 75% of respondents. 32% of respondents have a negative attitude towards Merkel, 31% - towards Obama, 26% - towards Alexander Lukashenko, 25% - towards Nazarbayev.

Geographically, residents of the western, central and northern regions are more favorable towards Western politicians, while residents of the South-East have a better attitude towards Lukashenko and Nazarbayev.

Sociologists also learned about the attitude of Ukrainian residents towards the peoples of the countries mentioned above. The undisputed leaders of sympathy are Belarusians (53% of Ukrainians have a completely positive attitude towards them, 41% – rather positively). Next come Europeans (in general), Poles, Lithuanians, Germans, French, Kazakhs.

In penultimate place are the Americans (40% of Ukrainians have a completely positive attitude towards them, 44% are rather positive). Russians have only 39% undisputed, another 33% of Ukrainians have a “rather positive” attitude towards them, but 23% have a “rather negative” or “completely negative” attitude (only 9% of Ukrainian citizens have a bad attitude towards Americans).
