Ukrainians in 2022 have been prepared with a “physiological survival budget” – economist
More than 90% of all expenses of the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 will fall on protected budget items, that is, there will be practically no money for development.
Economic expert Yuriy Gavrilechko stated this on the Ukrlife.tv channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, our budget remains a budget of survival, and physiological survival at that. For one simple reason - the vast majority of budget expenditure items, as well as this year and in the past, are protected items, that is, these are exclusively things for which money needs to be allocated, without which it is simply impossible to live further.
In next year's budget, over 90% of all expenses will be covered as protected budget items. This means that there is no money for development, and there never will be. As the prime minister of a neighboring power said, “there is no money, but you hold on.” If this situation continues, then stagnation in the Ukrainian economy is guaranteed for a very long time.
There is only one way to increase budget revenues - economic development. Unfortunately, no economic development is expected. Even worse, if you look now at what the National Bank and the Cabinet of Ministers are doing, we now have a colossal import of inflation from abroad due to rising energy prices and rising food prices.
As a result, these same energy resources and food products are becoming more expensive in our country for one reason only: there, abroad, prices have risen, so sellers here adjust domestic prices to match external ones,” concluded Yuri Gavrilechko.
