Ukrainians were banned from traveling to Russia using their internal passports
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution according to which, from March 1, 2020, citizens of Ukraine will not be able to travel to Russian territory using an internal passport and birth certificate.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from European Solidarity Aleksey Goncharenko reported this in his Telegram channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
By decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, a number of clauses of agreements between the governments of Ukraine and Russia, which allowed Ukrainians to leave, enter, stay and move within the territory of the Russian Federation on the basis of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a birth certificate for children under the age of 16, are terminated.
At the same time, it remains possible to enter Ukraine from the territory of the Russian Federation using an internal Ukrainian passport.
