Ukrainians were deceived: Poroshenko even looks like Yanukovych
The war in Donbass has produced something of a social revolution in the region: businessmen are fighting in militia units commanded by their former drivers and security guards.
Political scientist Semyon Uralov spoke about this on the talk show “Evening”.

“The bourgeoisie has left, the bigwigs and dudes have left, but what remains are people for whom work is the most important thing. There will be completely different social mechanisms involved. It’s a paradox: there was a businessman with his security driver, and now this businessman is fighting in the unit of his former driver, and this is normal,” Uralov said.
In his opinion, the situation in Ukraine is radically different from Donbass. In Kyiv, the new President Poroshenko became the successor of Yanukovych’s financial and political line.
“By replacing Yanukovych with Poroshenko, you reproduced the same political economic model that existed before. But in the DPR, there is a different system. There, what the Maidan initially beautifully spoke about, about representatives of the people in power, about reducing the tax burden, has been implemented there. In the DPR there is no VAT - 0%, utility tariffs are three times cheaper, because in Kyiv they raised them, but there they kept them at the same level. You were deceived - they are even similar in appearance, Yanukovych and Poroshenko,” Uralov said.
