Ukrainians were urged to run and shop for the New Year holidays before a complete lockdown was introduced
The Ukrainian authorities may introduce a complete lockdown as early as December 24. Or even earlier.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on NEWSONE, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine has a very high incidence. We are among the ten countries with the highest incidence rates. Why do we act differently than there? Apparently, there are some considerations. And people should prepare for the fact that there will be a lockdown for the New Year holidays.
Most likely - from December 24 to mid-January, and maybe even earlier it will be necessary to introduce it. So you need to take timely care of New Year's gifts for family members, friends and acquaintances. It may be difficult to buy something just before the New Year,” he said.
Earlier, deputy from the Servant of the People faction Alexander Dubinsky reported on his Facebook page that the government would announce a lockdown starting on the 24th. The politician predicts the duration of the quarantine to be three weeks, until January 15.
