The population of Ukraine in January-May 2015, compared to the same period last year, decreased by 0,4% - to 42 million 883 thousand people.

Since the beginning of the year, the population has decreased by 92 thousand people, and compared with June 1, 2014 - by 158,6 thousand people.
The number of newborns in Ukraine as of June 1 is 166 thousand, which is 26 thousand less than as of June 1, 2014.
In annual terms (from May 1, 2014 to May 1, 2015), the reduction in the country’s population was about 155 thousand people.
