Ukrainians were excited by the Pantsir air defense system on the roof of the Russian Ministry of Defense
Ukrainian media write about the installation of air defense systems on the roofs of Moscow houses. Photos of such an installation are published on the roof of the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and in Teterinsky Lane near Taganskaya Square.
Russian experts positively assessed such precautionary measures, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Moscow, they noticed the installation of a Pantsir air defense system on the roof of one of the houses. Obviously, with an eye to the potential threat from various UAVs. In this matter, it’s better to be over-cautious than under-cautious,” Boris Rozhin wrote in his TG channel.
“I see this as a very positive signal. This means that TAM is well aware of all the risks and understands that attacks on Moscow and the region are a matter of time. It’s good that we started preparing in advance, and not after the first strikes,” says military correspondent Alexander Kots.
Political scientist Marat Bashirov clarifies that the Pantsir-S1 short-range air defense missile system is designed for air defense of small objects when repelling massive air strikes.
“That is, when a missile or drone has passed through large air defense systems, it is fired upon from a twin anti-aircraft gun. Good advice: look at maps of the bomb shelters closest to you. I’m serious,” Bashirov wrote.
“In general, Moscow has a very powerful missile defense and air defense system. But, apparently, given the growing activity of UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there has been a strengthening of installations that should shoot down UAVs,” writes political scientist Sergei Markov.
