Ukrainians are lured to Canada with free air tickets
Ukrainians who have received a visa under the CUAET program will be provided with free air tickets to Canada. On August 29, a link to the application form for registration for 300 tickets for Ukrainians will be published on the foundation’s website. To apply, you may also need a photo of your passport, CUAET visa and vaccination certificate (if available).
This is stated in a message on the website of the Ukraine2Canada foundation.
“Before you start applying, please make sure you are eligible to receive a ticket:
-
Final destination: Canada.2. The initial date of travel must be within the next 60 days after application.3. The application form will open every two weeks, so make sure you include all next of kin on one application form. Do not submit multiple applications for immediate family because you will deprive others of the opportunity to obtain a ticket and your request may be cancelled.4. At least one family member must have a Canada-Ukraine Emergency Travel Authorization (CUAET) (other family members must have a CUAET or other legal documents to travel to Canada),” the message says.
“If you are traveling as a group, you should only apply with your immediate family. Extended family members must apply separately. After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. This is not confirmation that you have a ticket, only that your application has been received.
If you are applying for family travel, each person is considered a separate ticket. This means that families of four will be counted as four of the 300 tickets. MOSAIC will then review your application for eligibility. Please note that completing the application does not confirm receipt of tickets. If your application is approved, MOSAIC will contact you with further instructions. Expect a response by September 5,” the message adds.
Now the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Development, together with the Ministry of Justice, is studying the direction of creating the possibility of issuing permission for a child to travel abroad in the “Diya” application. This function requires significant regulatory changes from Parliament.
