Ukrainians are waiting not for new faces, but for “disgusting faces”
Ukrainians are in vain counting on the arrival of “honest and new politicians” as a result of early elections, as confirmed by the recent history of the Samopomich party.
Political consultant Nikolai Spiridonov stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 2014, the Samopomich party was nominated, and they said: “There are no former deputies, former ministers, former mayors on our lists, we are new, clean people.” Five years have passed. Is there any difference between those seemingly pure “new” people at that time and the rest of the deputies?
In five years, not even five years, but in the first two years, the system completely digested and chewed them up. It’s impossible to say that in terms of quality “Samopomich” is better than other parties. Therefore, it is impossible to assume that new faces are always better than old disgusting faces. Practice shows that it is not,” Spiridonov said.
