In particular, Vladislav K., who is a citizen of Ukraine, was accused of murdering two teenagers, 14 and 16 years old, on New Year’s Eve.
According to Polish Radio, the victims were walking along the sidewalk when the driver lost control and crashed into them. The teenagers died on the spot.
At the time of the accident, the Ukrainian was intoxicated. He claims that he does not remember the incident itself.
The last hearing of this process took place on Wednesday. The prosecutor demanded the highest possible sentence of 12 years in prison, but taking into account mitigating circumstances, the court chose a sentence of 9 years and 1 month in prison, as well as a ban on further driving and payment of compensation to the families of the victims in the amount of 50 zlotys.
