Ukrainians no longer consider Europe their ally
European countries do not want to recognize Russia as an “aggressor” and break off business relations with it, so Kyiv can only hope for the support of the United States, which now also has many of its own problems.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The whole world is playing the fool. They pretend and express their concern about what is happening in Donbass and Crimea. They say there is nothing, because no one officially says that they are shooting. Modern weapons are constantly being tested in Donbass. Cadets from Russian universities trained in Donbass. From the time Javelins and more modern weapons appeared, they began to put fewer of these people there,” says Yekhanurov.
In his opinion, Ukraine should not make any compromises with Russia.
“Peace after victory, Ukraine will not accept anything else. There can be no compromise when Ukraine is occupied. The occupiers must go “get away”, and after that we will talk. […] But, unfortunately, lately it has become clear: Europe will not be our ally in these matters. Therefore, the United States of America remains, although not everything is so simple and clear there either,” summed up Yekhanurov.
Let us recall that earlier Yuri Yekhanurov said that the war in Donbass “needs to be turned into a positive”.
