Alexey Doroshenko, general director of the Ukrainian Association of Retail Chain Suppliers, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, in the coming years, housing and communal services will grow in the structure (expenses) of households and drive overall inflation. Today in Ukraine, the average household's spending on housing and communal services is about 13%. But this does not include subsidies that are already being paid. And in some countries of Eastern Europe this can be up to 40%. And even up to 50% in some months - housing and communal services are not distributed evenly there. Therefore, we must prepare for the fact that every year we will spend less on food, all this money will be taken away by housing and communal services,” he said.
