Ukrainians finished off a wounded saboteur abandoned on the battlefield
After an unsuccessful attempt to enter the territory of the DPR, the Ukrainian saboteurs, retreating, left their wounded colleague to die on the battlefield.
The official representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense, Colonel Eduard Basurin, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During a preliminary inspection of the site where the body of the killed saboteur of the 24th Brigade Mayboroda was found, it was established that at the time when the deceased was abandoned by his brothers-in-arms, he was still alive and conscious.
These conclusions were made on the basis of bloody traces stretching from the site of the injury to the place of its discovery. The militant crawled towards his positions. But the Ukrainian occupiers carried out continuous shelling of this area, which did not allow the evacuation of the wounded,” he said.
A representative of the defense department said that if the Ukrainian military had not fired at the place where the wounded man lay, DPR soldiers could have saved his life.
“According to the preliminary results of the examination at the morgue, Mayboroda died the day before yesterday. Perhaps if we had managed to get him out, he would have lived. He just bled to death.
We do not rule out that the constant shelling of this area by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was carried out precisely in order to hide the death of their former comrade,” said Eduard Basurin.
