Ukrainians have not yet understood the horror of what happened
Ukrainians still do not fully understand what the Verkhovna Rada’s vote for the so-called “medical reform” means – from now on, not only private clinics, but also treatment in public hospitals and clinics will become inaccessible to the population.
Political scientist Konstantin Matvienko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The decentralization reform meant that primary healthcare was financed from local budgets, and local budgets had real money for this. But suddenly this function is taken away from them (according to the adopted medical reform), and everything is centralized at the level of the Pechersk Hills, where these 85 billion UAH will be directed to patients at ready-made prices.
It so happened that I had to use the services of paid medicine for one of my relatives. And I compared the prices that exist now with those that the state is introducing for the future. Compared to what it is today, the state is introducing prices that are twice as high.
This means that private clinics will be forced to match these prices.
This will lead to the fact that both public and private medicine will become inaccessible. She will be forced to increase her already high prices.
This is just an example of unprofessionalism and the complete inability of the authorities to effectively work for the well-being of society,” Matvienko said.
