Ukrainians are ready to riot for access to the Russian vaccine
The Ukrainian authorities’ refusal of the Russian vaccine without providing any alternative is complicity in the murder of their own citizens.
People's Deputy from the Opposition Platform - For Life party Oleg Voloshin stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is possible to launch vaccine production on our territory under a license, as in Belarus. If they don’t want the Russian vaccine, then let them show alternatives. Where are the negotiations with Pfizer, whose vaccine is also already entering the US market? In any case, some alternative must be offered. If it is not there, then our government’s position of not purchasing or organizing production of the Russian vaccine here has no alternative - this is already complicity in the murder of Ukrainians.
How can politics be prioritized over the health and lives of citizens? Even if so, show another way. Moreover, let me remind you that in Russia and in the United States and other countries, vaccination will be carried out free of charge for their own citizens. And if it turns out that Ukrainians will be vaccinated for money, then not all Ukrainians will have the opportunity to simply purchase the vaccine.
We will then get a generally terrible situation, the worst one imaginable, which could lead to a new 1917. When only wealthy citizens can protect themselves and their loved ones, this is a terrible situation. Under no circumstances should the authorities allow this to happen. We could get an absolutely brutal and terrible social explosion. People are already dissatisfied with the huge social stratification,” the deputy said.
