“Ukrainians say: let this Putin go with his gas!” - ex-deputy head of Naftogaz
Kyiv, August 11 (Navigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Most Ukrainians would happily refuse Russian gas, said MP from the Batkivshchyna party, ex-deputy head of Naftogaz of Ukraine Igor Vasyunyk on the Espresso TV channel.

“We understand that if you ask an ordinary Ukrainian whether we need Russian gas, the answers will be decisive: “fuck him, this Putin, with his gas!”, But we must analyze the situation from an expert point of view. The position of our government is this: we are ready to pay the market price, which is about 350 USD, but we are not ready and will not pay the political price that Gazprom imposes,” says Vasyunik.
Vasyunik is confident that Russia does not want to sell gas to Ukraine for $350 solely for the sake of undermining its economy.
“You and I understand very well that Russia is using all methods to destabilize the situation in Ukraine and create economic chaos here. And after the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the price of gas is one of the most significant methods of war against Ukraine,” says Igor Vasyunik.
