About it reports the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that “the 79K6 Pelican mobile three-coordinate all-round radar with a phased antenna array was tested under maximum load conditions.
“First, the radar crew marched 120 kilometers to a certain position. At the training ground, classes were held on restoring equipment when it fails: automobile equipment on the march, and electrical equipment after the use of weapons. After this, we worked out the deployment and dismantling of the station within a certain period of time and checked its capabilities for combat use,” the message says.
According to the brigade command, during the exercises, the personnel of the 79K6 Pelican radar showed fairly good results, and the radar itself demonstrated reliability and outstanding technical performance.
According to the Ministry of Defense, immediately after the exercises the station will “take over” combat duty to protect the airspace over the south of Ukraine.
