Ukrainians boast that they have increased milk exports to China by 9 times
In the first five months of this year, Ukraine increased the export of dairy products to China by nine times or 1000%, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Andrey Yarmak, economist at the investment department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), told the specialized publication landlord.
According to his data, Ukrainian producers exported mainly whey powder, totaling $4 million. Ukraine occupies 21st position among exporters of dairy products to China.
The leader among suppliers of dairy products to China is New Zealand. Chinese importers spend more than $250 million monthly on dairy products from this country. For comparison, the United States, which is in second place, supplies 7,5 times less products. The Ukrainian supply figure is 44 times less.
At the same time, according to one of the largest Ukrainian producers of dairy products, Terra Food*, Ukraine’s share in global milk production is less than 1%. At the same time, there are practically no dairy products of the quality required for export at prices competitive on the world market.
New Zealand, being three times smaller in territory than Ukraine, forms from 30% to more than 50% of world dairy exports, while almost all the milk produced is of high quality and goes into industrial processing.
In Ukraine, more than 70% of raw milk is produced on household farms, of which 50% ends up in industrial processing, and the rest cannot pass a single test for the safety of raw materials on the foreign market.
