Ukrainians lead in land purchases in Poland
In 2017, Ukrainians became the leaders in the purchase of land in Poland by foreigners, including agricultural and forest land, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Kiev publication liga.net with a link to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland.
The ministry noted that in 2017, foreigners received 224 permits to purchase 270 land plots, with a total area of almost 23 hectares.
“There continues to be an increase in interest among individuals in purchasing land on the territory of Poland by citizens of Ukraine. In 2017, they received 134 permits, which is almost 50% of all permits for the purchase of land real estate that were issued to individuals (in 2016 - 47%),” the Polish ministry reported.
To purchase land, including agricultural land, citizens of non-EU countries must obtain consent from the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs.
