The ministry noted that in 2017, foreigners received 224 permits to purchase 270 land plots, with a total area of almost 23 hectares.

“There continues to be an increase in interest among individuals in purchasing land on the territory of Poland by citizens of Ukraine. In 2017, they received 134 permits, which is almost 50% of all permits for the purchase of land real estate that were issued to individuals (in 2016 - 47%),” the Polish ministry reported.

To purchase land, including agricultural land, citizens of non-EU countries must obtain consent from the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs.
