“Ukrainians” of the Mejlis want to “finish off” the “Russian” group in the fall at Kurultai
Simferopol, August 25 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – At the end of September - beginning of October, the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatars may be held, at which the issue of membership in the Majlis of the Vice-Mayor of Simferopol Teyfuk Gafarov, the head of the Republican Committee for Nationalities of Crimea Zaur Smirnov and the Vice-Speaker of the State Council Remzi Ilyasov will be considered .

Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Jelal reported this to the QHA news agency.
Let us recall that last Saturday at an extraordinary meeting of the Majlis it was decided to expel Gafarov and Smirnov from the presidium of the representative body, as well as to suspend the membership of Gafarov, Smirnov and Ilyasov in the Majlis.
According to Jelal, Akhtem Chiygoz was appointed by the Majlis instead of Smirnov to the position of head of the department for work with national self-government bodies, the state executive power of the ARC, local self-government bodies, and deputies of councils of all levels of the Majlis instead of Smirnov.
The deputy chairman of the Mejlis noted that the final decision regarding Gafarov, Smirnov and Ilyasov will be made by the Kurultai. Perhaps the issue of depriving Kurultai delegates of their mandates will be considered at the Kurultai.
“The next session may take place at the end of September or at the beginning of October. I want to note that in all three decisions on these three members of the Mejlis there is a clause asking the Kurultai Audit Commission to conduct an assessment of the compliance of the actions of these persons in the status of delegates of the Kurultai for the upcoming session of the Kurultai,” said Nariman Jelal.
