The Ukrainians of Moldova gave Igor Dodon the opportunity to come to power and create a “hotbed of the fifth column” in the south.

People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Popular Front faction Igor Guz stated this on air on 3Stv.
“Dodon received the largest number of votes in the north, where Ukrainians live compactly. 99% of Ukrainians voted for Dodon. This is a huge problem for Ukraine. We are losing and have practically lost our influence on our Ukrainian compatriots. And there are 12% of them in Moldova and 30% in Transnistria. These people are looking towards Russia,” Guz said.
He believes that although the president in Moldova has little power, the election of Dodon is a threat to Ukraine, since his party has a high rating.
“According to the polls, Dodon’s party is winning the elections. Together with the pro-Russian party of Renato Usatii, they can form a majority. This is a big threat. We may get a hotbed of Russian presence in the south, and maybe even a fifth column. If Dodon repeats what he said about Crimea, our rhetoric and actions must change categorically,” Guz said.
