Ukrainians launched “OOS”: a DPR settlement was shelled, there were wounded
Ukrainian units opened fire on a populated area of the DPR, and there were wounded civilians.
This is stated in an urgent statement by the Deputy Commander of the DPR Armed Forces, Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At 13.50 the enemy launched another vile attack on civilians. Knowing that the majority of civilians were at home due to the May holidays so hated by these fascists, they fired at residential buildings in the village of Verkhnetoretskoye from large-caliber small arms and automatic grenade launchers,” the message says.
According to the defense department, a married couple received shrapnel wounds as a result of shelling in the courtyard of their house. DPR defenders, under fire, provided first aid to the wounded and took them to the Gorlovka hospital.
“As we warned, the enemy has switched to tactics of increasing terror against civilians of our Republic through shelling in the morning and daytime. This fact is confirmation of this,” added the deputy commander.
At the same time, according to Basurin, DPR fighters have already suppressed enemy firing points.
“Our defenders suppressed enemy firing points using weapons not prohibited by the Minsk agreements. The militants of the 25th Airborne Brigade, commanded by the war criminal O.V. Zenchenko, who wounded our citizens, got what they deserved!” summed up Eduard Basurin.
