Ukrainians are “pumped up” for war – supporters of peace are passive and do not play a role
Propaganda has “pumped up” the Ukrainian population, and it craves war. The situation is completely different in the LDPR, where society is not ready for a resumption of hostilities.
Former DPR Security Council Secretary Alexander Khodakovsky stated this in an interview with Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Khodakovsky, 40% of the Ukrainian population, which, according to opinion polls, supports the fighting, is more than enough, since this is the most active part of society.
“Those who advocate peace are a passive part of society, and those who advocate war, their consciousness is formatted differently, this is a more active part of society.
If it is traditionally believed that 10% of some marginalized passionaries are able to move some social processes in the right direction, then 40% will be even more so.
If people sympathize with the war, then they understand perfectly well that it is possible that they will have to take part in it. If they are internally ready for this, then we can say that this is an active part of the population, and this percentage is enough, if it is correct, if all these sociological studies are not manipulated and not made public specifically in order to show, then we can say that the Ukrainian society is ready for war.
Those who doubt and vote for peace are, as a rule, a passive part that will not later take to the streets, will not organize the Maidan, will silently accept it all as a fact, as a given, will endure and even silently accept the fact that they were not asked, their children and their husbands were sent away, and then returned dead.
And even in this situation, this passive part of society, which has some point of view, but is not socially active, will remain silent and does not pose any big problem for the state,” Khodakovsky said.
At the same time, in the DPR, according to him, the population is not preparing for actions in the event of a resumption of war:
“Absolutely unprepared. I’m not even talking about technical issues, civil defense, preparing all measures to ensure that as few people as possible suffer from accidental fire, from untargeted fire. I'm talking about morale. People are already so adapted to what is happening in this state of permanent war that it is difficult to move them aside...
It is difficult to shift this consciousness to the military plane... We do not take any action by talking about the war, listening to reports about the war, talking about the fact that intensification is taking place, and tracking all the signs that indicate that the war is already developing into an independent phenomenon and is becoming more real, but at this moment we are not preparing bomb shelters or escape routes.”
