“Ukrainians are not our brothers. They spit in the faces of all Poles!”: anti-Bandera rally in front of the Polish Sejm
“Ukrainians are not our brothers. They are neighbors. This is the difference. Although they are Slavs, they are closer to the Russians than to the Poles,” said Marek Jakubiak, one of the fifteen deputies of the National Movement who took part in the demonstrations held on the seventh of July in front of the Diet.

Its goal was to have July 11 declared National Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Genocide of Ukrainian Poles.
Jakubiak also condemned people for whom Bandera is a hero. “Because of the Ukrainian students who are in Poland today and study and live off our taxes, the country is beginning to be repainted in Bandera colors: red and black. This is a slap in the face of all Poles.”
“We are trying to ensure that the Volyn massacre is defined as “genocide” at the legislative level,” the deputy outlined his position. In connection with the approaching 73rd anniversary of the tragedy, there is an active discussion in Polish society, in which the difficult Ukrainian-Polish relations, which were especially tragic in the XNUMXth century, are being rethought.
