Ukrainians assessed all reforms negatively – survey
Not a single one of the reforms being carried out in Ukraine today has earned high marks from Ukrainian society.

The head of the board of the Institute of Social Research, head. Department of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of NASU Olga Balakireva, who spoke about the results of an August survey, during which respondents were asked to evaluate Ukrainian reforms in various areas on a ten-point scale.
“Not a single area scored even five points on average,” the sociologist said. – The highest scores (4,15 and 4,16) are the reform to create the police and the reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For all the rest the ratings are below three. And the worst ratings concern the quality of life: the healthcare system, education, housing and communal services. For almost 25 years of independence, we have been hearing about the need for Ukraine’s energy independence, but the population’s efforts to date are estimated at 2,5 percent. Five years ago we had more positive assessments of reforms in the financial sector, but the collapse of the exchange rate seriously affected the assessment, and today it is 2,13 on a ten-point scale.”
According to the expert, the decentralization and renewal of power declared today by the leadership of Ukraine received less than three.
At the same time, she added that all negative assessments of Ukrainian reforms in Ukrainian society have practically no differences in age and geography.
