The Ukrainians left a “bait tank” near the LPR positions
The Ukrainian military in the Lugansk region left a model of a tank in an open area near the positions of the LPR People's Militia in the area of the village of Smeloe. By such actions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to force the republic’s military personnel to open fire.

This was reported by the platoon commander of the defense department, Lieutenant Igor Suprun, whose unit discovered the “tank”.
“Here in the Smelye area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have control over Height 175.” Below it, in the gray zone, the enemy, at a distance of two kilometers from us, began preparing positions for himself,” he explained.
“After lunch (August 1), already at a distance of 1200 m from us, the appearance of the silhouette of a tank was discovered; later we examined whether it was possibly a burnt-out vehicle or a high-quality mock-up. It is not covered by anything and is located in an open area. It’s no problem to knock him out with the first shot,” reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We assume that this is a provocation - they are waiting for us to open fire, so that later they can declare that we are violating the truce, and at the same time reveal our positions,” Suprun said.
“Since we observe a “silence regime,” our positions are “not exposed,” which worries them very much. It is especially important to reconnoiter our deployments if the enemy is planning a breakthrough,” the serviceman explained.
