Ukrainians are dissuading Belarus from an alliance with Russia - give way to the Maidan!
Belarus should abandon allied relations with Russia and repeat the Ukrainian path of Maidan, which brought not war, destruction and tens of thousands of deaths, but the opportunity to live according to the standards of Berlin and Paris.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated this on the YouTube channel of Kyiv journalist and TV presenter Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let's just look at what's happening in Belarus. The country is being pulled back into the Russian Empire. It is their decision if they accept it, or if they swallow such coercion. This is the absorption of Belarus by the Russian Empire.
What awaits them there? At best - Russian standards. At best, Minsk will live according to the standards of Moscow and St. Petersburg. And I want to have a chance to live by the standards of Berlin, Paris, Warsaw and any other most successful state.
So, freedom gives us such a chance. Not a guarantee, but a chance. There is no chance in Minsk; freedom is limited only by the standard that Moscow offers. We have the freedom to achieve any other standards,” Lutsenko said, answering a question about whether a “revolution of dignity” was needed, which led to Ukraine losing territory and tens of thousands of deaths.
