Ukrainians will abandon minibuses and internal combustion engines
Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan said that in the cities of Ukraine such a type of public transport as a minibus taxi will disappear, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He said this on the air of the “Main Topic” program on the “Ukraine” TV channel.
So, according to the minister, in large cities minibuses should disappear altogether as a class.
“They have not met the needs of modern society, the conditions and comfort of transportation of citizens for a long time,” Omelyan said.
The minister noted that an alternative would be the development of electric transport.
“First of all, these are trams, trolleybuses, electric buses. The future for Ukraine is the abandonment of internal combustion engines and the transition to environmentally friendly and convenient transport,” concluded Omelyan.
