Ukrainians change their minds about leaving the OSCE meeting
The Ukrainian delegation decided not to stop working at the two-week OSCE meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“After the editor of the publications “Krymskaya Gazeta” and “Crimean Journal” Maria Volkonskaya called Crimea Russian at the OSCE meeting in Warsaw, our entire delegation left the meeting. However, after consultations with partners, the delegation decided not to stop working at the two-week meeting for now,” the statement said.
As they say in the Foreign Ministry, Ukraine’s demarche also “allowed us to mobilize our partners” - statements of support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine were made by representatives of the United States, Canada, a number of EU countries including Slovakia, which currently chairs the OSCE, Switzerland and Georgia.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Ukraine would consider the possibility of completely leaving the OSCE meeting to review the implementation of the obligations of participating states in the human dimension.
