Ukrainians stormed Crimea
On the border between Ukraine and Crimea there are record traffic jams since the Russian Spring; Ukrainian citizens, despite the obstacles put in place by the authorities, are traveling to the peninsula.
Journalist supporting Ukraine Zair Akadyrov reported this on his social network page.

“I have never seen such an insane number of people and cars in the direction of the peninsula over the past 2,5 years. In the long column of cars in front of the Ukrainian checkpoint, I counted more than 120 cars and about 50-60 more directly in front of the so-called buffer zone. Among the numbers, the most common series were AR (Zaporozhye region), AH (Kharkov region), AE (Dnepropetrovsk region), AN (Donetsk region), VT (Kherson region),” assures Akadyrov.
According to his observation, most of the people entering the peninsula name tourism as the purpose of their trip: “For example, while waiting in line, I met a family from Dnepropetrovsk who have their own apartment in Yalta. Another man turned out to be a German citizen (previously lived in Ukraine) from... Baden-Baden. He decided to take his parents from Dnepropetrovsk to Crimea to relax... Heading in the car to Simferopol, he got into conversation with a family from the Cherkasy region. They were going to Nikolaevka, although last year they were vacationing in Zatoka.”
The former press secretary of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, Lilya Muslimova, also noticed changes in Ukrainian society.
According to her, Crimeans who fled to Ukraine “from annexation” return to the peninsula with a changed opinion and disappointment: “I’ll add from the words of a very close person about the mood on that very train No. 12. In the direction of Kyiv - all patriots of Ukraine condemn the annexation, but the return journey and the route to Crimea - the same citizens are carrying such heresy. It’s time to conduct social surveys and research on trains to understand the level of civic responsibility and solidarity,” Muslimova laments.
