Ukrainians are against the implementation of the Minsk agreements
Two-thirds of Ukrainians are in favor of peaceful solutions to the Donbass problem: 32% are in favor of ending hostilities and recognizing these territories as temporarily occupied (freezing the conflict), 24% are in favor of granting these territories independence, or federal status of the region within Ukraine, and 9% - for their complete separation.
These are the findings of a study by the sociological group “Rating”.
At the same time, 21% are in favor of continuing military operations until the complete restoration of Ukrainian power throughout the Donbass. The opinion about the need for an armed resolution of the conflict in Donbass is not dominant in any of the macro-regions of the country.
Only 14% of respondents believe that Ukraine should fully comply with all the conditions set in the Minsk agreements. In turn, 17% believe that it is necessary to withdraw from the negotiation process and make decisions without the participation of international mediators. At the same time, a relative majority (32%) argue that these agreements need to be reconsidered and new agreements signed.
