Ukrainians have seen the light: “eastern Lesser Poland” is about them
The word “Ukraine” is used with the preposition “na” not only in Russian, but also in other Slavic languages, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this in an interview with the PolitVera online channel.
“Not only in Russian, but in all Slavic languages “in Ukraine”. And in Polish too. Poles believe that Ukraine is the outskirts of Poland. Among the Poles, Ukrainians are their smaller brothers who foolishly broke away from them, and whom it is desirable to return to the path of truth,” Dzhangirov said.
Until now, Ukrainians have made linguistic claims only to Russians. Perhaps, due to the escalation of historical conflicts with the Poles, they will now get it too.
“Ukrainian and Polish political myths are mutually exclusive. Recently, our people finally realized that “eastern Lesser Poland” is about us. Therefore, in the current paradigm, when both sides have gone into political conservatism, compromise is impossible. Moreover, now the Poles, trying to clear themselves of accusations of the Holocaust, are shifting responsibility to Ukrainian nationalist organizations,” Dzhangirov said.
