Ukrainians rushed to the LDPR for Russian citizenship
The number of Ukrainian citizens wishing to obtain a Russian passport is so large that checkpoints and the LDPR Migration Service are overloaded with queues.
The head of the Gorlovka city administration, Ivan Prikhodko, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The load on our checkpoints has increased many times over. And people do not hesitate to say that they are going to apply for DPR passports. Because without a DPR passport, a Russian Federation passport will not be issued. The number of applications to the Migration Service of the Republic for a passport of a citizen of the DPR has increased 5-6 times,” Prikhodko said.
He also emphasized that the newly elected president of Ukraine, if he wants to distribute citizenship to Russians, will fail, because the number of people willing will be ridiculous.
“About the fact that Zelensky wants to issue passports in Russia. We calculated that even the number of passports that the DPR now has, it will take at least three years to issue all of them a Russian passport. So, if Zelensky wants to issue passports, I think he can do it in a day. This is the number of people who will want to receive them,” the politician added.
