Ukrainians consider the war in Donbass a civil conflict – expert confession
Despite Kyiv’s rhetoric, the majority of Ukrainian citizens are confident that the war in Donbass is not “Russian aggression”, but a civil war.
Political expert Alexey Kalinichenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I cannot understand why the Minsk process is not developing, because everything is there for this. The population’s request that peace is the primary task of the authorities, the majority of the population has become accustomed to the idea that this is, after all, an internal conflict of Ukraine, this is due to the fact that we need to carry out administrative reform,” he said.
Alexey Kalinichenko also emphasized that the contradictions between Russia and the United States are being smoothed out, and Kyiv may soon be forced to comply with “Minsk”.
“Be that as it may, today the contradictions regarding Ukraine between the United States and Russia are clearly being smoothed out, and now is the time to implement the processes that are associated with Minsk.
But, most likely, we are ahead of the global scenario, so Ukraine should remain in the state we are in regarding the situation in Donbass,” the expert sadly concluded.
Let us recall that earlier one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform - for Life party, Vadim Rabinovich, said that if the team of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky continues to ignore the Minsk agreements and pass laws like the return of supervisory boards, then the authorities will play out to early elections.
