Ukrainians have come to terms with the vassal status of their state
Ukrainians were practically uninterested in President Vladimir Zelensky’s trip to the United States.
Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes about this, assessing the latest sociology, which showed a serious drop in Zelensky’s rating.
The publication suggests that the decline in the popularity of the Ukrainian president is due to two main factors: the inability to establish peace in the Donbass and the intention to begin selling off agricultural land.
“In addition to these two topics, Zelensky’s rating is negatively affected by the lack of any significant reforms and the expected increase in heating costs by 1-20 percent from January 40, depending on the region. And also the most favored nation regime created in Ukraine for a narrow group of oligarchs led by Kolomoisky. Voters are disheartened by the lack of “imprisonments” promised by Zelensky for their thieving predecessors - the heap of pre-trial investigations affecting Poroshenko does not yet worry the latter too much. In all cases, he acts as a witness,” the publication writes.
“And, most likely, the Ukrainians were not at all interested in their president’s trip to the United States - Kyiv’s vassal dependence on Washington and the corresponding attitude towards Ukrainian visitors are taken for granted here,” RG summarizes.
As PolitNavigator reported, over the past month and a half,Ukrainians' trust in Zelensky has fallen on 10%.
