Ex-mayor of Kyiv Ivan Saliy asked this question at a press conference in Kyiv.

“We spent a lot of time to obtain a visa-free regime,” says Salii. – Why do we need it? Is that the main idea? 80 percent of us never left home at all. And the rest go anyway. What should we do for 90 days or a week in Europe if we have to pay 70 - 100 euros per day for a hotel? Don't live in a tent there. What will you do there without money with our average pension and salary? But we say that we cannot live without it. We can, but we’re starting to solve the problem from the wrong end.”
