This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko.

“If previously many were afraid of various kinds of activists, people in camouflage, then the events of this summer, especially the religious procession, showed that in fact people have stopped being afraid. This is a very important moment that will characterize autumn. The authorities may begin repression, but as historical experience shows, this is the last refuge of the authorities in such conditions. The authorities may begin to put pressure, but in reality the fear has already disappeared. This is a very important point.”
