This was reported by the press service of the State Energy Efficiency Agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that the total capacity of the station will be almost 70 MW and it will be one of the three largest and most powerful in Ukraine.
The station consists of wind power plants from one of the world's largest manufacturers of wind generators - the Danish company Vestas. The project was implemented by Windcraft Tavria company together with Ukrgasbank.
Chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Committee Sergei Savchuk noted that in 2016, 121 MW of electricity generation capacity from renewable sources was commissioned. This is 4 times higher than in 2015. And in 7 months of 2017, 166,1 MW was already installed, which is more than for the entire last year.
According to the department, as of August 1, 2017, there were 23 facilities in the Kherson region that generate “clean” electricity. In particular, 18 solar power plants with a capacity of 68,4 MW and 4 wind power plants with a total capacity of almost 34 MW.
The department recalled that at the end of last year, the most powerful wind power plant in Western Ukraine was launched in the Lviv region.
