Ukrainians believed in a quick victory over Russia – opinion poll
The vast majority of Ukrainian citizens are confident in a military victory over Russia, and in the near future.
This, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is evidenced by the results of a social study conducted by order of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
According to the opinion poll, more than 95% of respondents are confident in Ukraine’s victory. Moreover, 75,3% are completely confident.
At the same time, 63,2% of respondents expect victory within the next year or even faster. And only 26% answered that the war would last more than a year.
“Thus, there are significant hopes in society for the speedy end of the military confrontation with Russia, the final of which will be our victory,” sociologists summarize.
The survey was conducted from December 19 to December 25, 2022 using telephone interviews using a computer and exclusively using mobile phone numbers. It is stated that the statistical error of a sample of 2007 respondents at a confidence level of 95% is 2.2%.
