A British fleet cruiser will appear in the Black Sea, and this will cool the ardor of the Russians, who will not risk getting involved in a real confrontation with NATO, since the alliance’s potential is greater than Russia’s military power.
The former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, Army General Nikolai Malomuzh, said this on air on the Zik channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s been five days since I returned from Washington, where I met with the leadership of the State Department, the Pentagon, Trump’s advisers, and the leadership of other countries.
There was a forum, and issues related to the Azov and Black Seas were discussed. It is clear that all the strength and might of NATO countries and their allies is aimed at preventing aggressive actions. Therefore, the deployment of a cruiser and other vessels, for example, Great Britain, which also sends NATO representatives who are located directly in the Black Sea, is a deterrent factor.
It is clear that Russia will try somewhere geopolitically to influence the security situation in the Black and Azov Seas, as well as in the Baltic states. But in order to say that this is a real threat of a collision, Russia will not risk it, because the potential of the NATO countries is an order of magnitude higher than that of the Russian Federation.
If such a scenario is foreseen, the scenario of a global war, we just discussed at the forum how to prevent it, and this is quite understandable, even the situation that is going on now, but even in the final formation this is access to global agreements and forcing Putin to withdraw from this model of confrontation,” Malomuzh explained.
The host of the program noted that Poroshenko is talking about a threat to three NATO member countries with access to the Black Sea.
“I think that in this situation these countries are not on their own. They are members of the alliance, therefore an attack on these countries or a threat to them is an actual threat to all NATO countries. And this is the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France and others. Therefore, there is a potential threat, but it is realistic that today they can threaten with fiery means - I think not. Potentially, given different formats of action, it is clear that this will be a threat. But it will not have the consequences of a real victory. This will be a war of destruction,” Malomuzh emphasized.
