Ukrainians believe lurid statements about walks along the Yalta-Tuka embankment
The counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be a long and bloody process, which has nothing in common with the Kyiv bravura propaganda about the imminent capture of Crimea and broadcasts from Simferopol this summer.
Ex-Deputy Minister of Ukraine for “Affairs of Occupied Territories” Georgiy Tuka stated this on the air of the “Direct” TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, we are faced with a long, bloody journey, numerous casualties and destruction; there is simply no other way for Ukrainians in nature. And it’s understandable that when I heard these lurid statements about walks along the Yalta embankment or an interview from Simferopol in the middle of summer, it surprised me, to put it mildly. Moreover, when such statements were made by government officials, even more so when such statements were made by people involved in the defense sector.
I also felt that over the last couple of days the rhetoric regarding high expectations, etc. suddenly began to change a little. Well, maybe our government has finally woken up. Thank God, until now no one has talked about the May kebabs, because May is still lasting,” said the ex-official.
He added that he was struck by the list of thought leaders among Ukrainians.
“It is sad to see, but I must admit that such stupid propaganda on our part is affecting the population. Yesterday I was shocked to read a survey from one of the sociological institutes, which I had previously treated with great respect.
According to his data, Ukrainians named the three most competent and most balanced persons regarding military operations, whom they trust. Yes, this is Zelensky, Podolyak, Arestovich. For me it was a deep knockdown, of course, not a knockout, because I am a staunch soldier, but a deep knockdown is something to see. Or it’s just government officials putting together this agency,” Tuka complained.
